The other plaintiff, Kelsey Harbert, accused Gooding of groping her breast in June 2019 at the Magic Hour rooftop bar, also in midtown. Lawyers who have represented Gooding in civil and criminal litigation over his alleged sexual misconduct did not immediately respond to requests for comment. He pleaded guilty in April 2022 to a misdemeanor charge of forcibly touching Abbay, who was not identified by name at the time but revealed her identity in her lawsuit. The charge was downgraded six months later to harassment, to which Gooding pleaded guilty after complying with a plea agreement that required alcohol and behavior modification treatment and no further arrests. Accusations by Abbay, Harbert and a third woman were the basis for a six-count indictment against Gooding, which his guilty plea resolved.

The Justice Department hasn't released its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's death. Gloria Allred, who represents 20 Epstein victims, asked the DOJ inspector general for answers. "Many of Mr. Epstein's victims question how and why the system failed to prevent the death of Jeffrey Epstein," Allred wrote in the letter. Horowitz launched an investigation into the circumstances of Epstein's death soon after he was found dead in his jail cell. "It is unfair that the victims of Jeffrey Epstein continue to be denied the knowledge of the conditions which existed at MCC that led to Mr. Epstein's death," Allred wrote.
Jeffrey Epstein's death in a federal jail was seen as a shocking Justice Department failure. But more than three years later, the office still hasn't released its report into the circumstances of Epstein's death. "We all took it by surprise," Mark Epstein told Insider. Barr tasked the Justice Department's inspector general, Michael Horowitz, and the FBI with investigating "the circumstances of Mr. Epstein's death." Mark Epstein told Insider that he spoke to his brother about once a month in the years before his death.
Hilaria Baldwin and Alec Baldwin speak for the first time regarding the accidental shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, and wounded director Joel Souza on the set of the film "Rust", on October 30, 2021 in Manchester, Vermont. Alec Baldwin is being sued by family members of Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer who was killed on the set of the movie "Rust." Baldwin, an actor known for his roles in "The Departed" and "The Hunt for Red October," is also a producer of "Rust." Last February, Hutchins' widower, Matthew Hutchins, sued Baldwin for wrongful death, months after Hutchins was killed in October 2021. That lawsuit, which accused Baldwin and others of reckless conduct that led to the tragedy, was settled in October last year.
Baldwin in October settled a separate wrongful-death lawsuit brought by Hutchins' husband Matt Hutchins over the fatal shooting on a film set outside Santa Fe. Under Matt Hutchins' settlement with Baldwin and the producers of 'Rust', filming of the movie was set to resume in early 2023 with Hutchins serving as executive producer, Baldwin remaining in the lead role of 'Harland Rust', and Souza directing. At the time, Matt Hutchins said he had no interest in attributing blame to Baldwin or the 'Rust' producers for the fatal shooting, and called his wife's death "a terrible accident". In a 2021 television interview Baldwin said Hutchins directed him where to point the gun and to cock it. "I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger, that was the training that I had," Baldwin told ABC News.
A second woman who said Herschel Walker pressured her into having an abortion spoke out on Tuesday. Walker, the Georgia Republican Senate nominee, earlier this month called the allegations a "lie." I never paid for an abortion,'" Doe said. In an early October Daily Beast report, Walker was accused of paying for the abortion of an unnamed former girlfriend. In a separate The New York Times report, the same woman said that Walker pressured her to have a second abortion, but she declined.
WASHINGTON, Nov 22 (Reuters) - A woman who alleges that U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker pressured her into having an abortion in 1993 on Tuesday challenged the Republican, who has said he opposes abortion with no exceptions, to meet her publicly before next month's Georgia run-off election. Walker has called the woman's allegations, first made publicly on Oct. 26, untrue. The woman and her attorney presented voice recordings they claimed to be Walker's. The attorney has said the woman has years of material, including receipts and greeting cards, documenting her romantic relationship with Walker from the late 1980s through the 1990s. A Warnock victory would expand Democrats' razor-thin margin in the Senate by one, giving President Joe Biden's party more room to maneuver.
Baldwin named all four as cross-defendants in a lawsuit originally filed against him last year by Mamie Mitchell, the film’s script supervisor. Baldwin said he relied on all four to do their jobs, and that Hutchins died as a result of their negligence. As a result, Baldwin says he has experienced “immense grief” and suffered an “emotional, physical and financial toll.”“More than anyone else on that set, Baldwin has been wrongfully viewed as the perpetrator of this tragedy,” wrote Baldwin’s attorney, Luke Nikas. Further, Baldwin accuses Seth Kenney, the supplier, of showing a “cavalier disregard for proper separation between live and dummy ammunition.”All four have previously denied culpability. In a statement Thursday, Gloria Allred, who represents Mitchell, said Baldwin should take responsibility for his actions.
Heisman Trophy winner and Republican candidate for US Senate Herschel Walker speaks at a rally on May 23, 2022 in Athens, Georgia. And so I believed then that she was telling the truth," Doe said in the televised interview. Walker, in a statement responding to Doe's new interview, told NBC News, "This was a lie a week ago and it is a lie today." The segment also included a 2019 photo showing the woman and Walker standing together and smiling. "I told my parents I had a miscarriage," the visibly emotional woman said, "because I couldn't tell them the truth.
Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker denied a new allegation from a woman Wednesday that Walker, who is running on an anti-abortion Republican platform, drove her to a clinic to have an abortion while they were engaged in a romantic relationship decades ago. Walker has admitted the check was his but has said he did not know what the money was used for. NBC News has not independently verified the abortion allegation. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., campaigning with Walker in Dillard on Wednesday, suggested a political motive was behind the latest allegation. Herschel Walker shouldn’t be representing Georgians in the U.S. Senate.”
I've already told people this is a lie," Walker said when asked about the claim, according to video posted by Atlanta media. "Herschel Walker is a hypocrite, and he is not fit to be a U.S. senator," the woman said. She said she went to a Dallas clinic intending to have an abortion, but decided against it and left. Walker, a political novice endorsed by former President Donald Trump, has said he opposes abortion, including for rape, incest or to protect the health or life of the mother. Allegations about abortion represent the latest scandal for Walker, a first-time candidate for office who has also faced allegations of domestic violence.
A second woman accused Georgia Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker of pressuring her to get an abortion after she became pregnant during their relationship. Walker denied the latest allegation at a campaign event earlier Wednesday, NBC News reported. She alleges that after she became pregnant in 1993, Walker drove her to a clinic in Dallas, Texas, to have an abortion — one day after she backed out of getting the procedure on her own. When she became pregnant again two years later, the woman said Walker again urged her to end her pregnancy, but she refused. Walker, a former football star, has denied paying for the first woman's abortion or pushing her to terminate the pregnancy, calling it a lie.
Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. appears in New York Criminal Court for his sentencing hearing after he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of forcibly touching a woman at a New York nightclub in 2018, in Manhattan in New York City, New York, U.S., October 13, 2022. REUTERS/Mike SegarOct 13 (Reuters) - Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. pleaded guilty on Thursday to a single count of harassment under an agreement with prosecutors sparing him any jail time while disposing of a criminal case that stemmed from allegations by several women of sexual misconduct. One of Gooding's lawyers, Frank Rothman, told Reuters that Gooding's harassment plea in Manhattan benefits his client by avoiding a criminal record as well as sparing him further jail time. Charges relating to two out of the three were dismissed outright, and the third ended up in a plea to harassment as a violation," Rothman said. "I've waited three years for the opportunity to speak about the injustice of Cuba Gooding Jr.
CNN —Cuba Gooding Jr. will not face any jail time after complying with the terms of a plea agreement in a forcible touching case, according to Emily Tuttle, spokesperson for the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. Gooding previously pleaded guilty in April to a misdemeanor charge of forcibly touching a woman at a New York City nightclub in 2018. Gooding admitted to kissing the woman, a waitress at the club, on her lips without consent. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Gooding was required to continue alcohol and behavior modification treatment for six months and have no new arrests. On Thursday, Gooding pleaded guilty to a lesser harassment violation that will always remain on his record, but no criminal charges will remain.
Alec Baldwin settled a lawsuit filed by loved ones of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was killed on the set of his movie "Rust" last year, representatives from both sides of the civil action said Wednesday. Other parties still face civil, criminal penaltiesThe movie set's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was also named as a defendant in the estate's lawsuit. "She is too traumatized to return to that set, because Mamie was standing next to Halyna Hutchins when Halyna was shot and killed," Mitchell's lawyer Gloria Allred said in a statement. She is very happy that Halyna's son and family have reached a settlement that they believe is fair to them. However, Mamie will continue her pursuit of justice in her civil case, and she will also be willing to testify in a criminal case if one is filed."
